Responsible for:

  • Developing, enhancing, and utilizing numerous CG assets throughout the NeverEver world in collaboration with the creative director and Blumhouse, from concept to final delivery.

  • Serving as the lead layout artist for the NeverEver scene, handling the layout, lighting, camera animation, and final rendering, ensuring seamless integration through light comping.

  • Designing and establishing lighting for infinity hallways, used across 10 to 30 shots, maintaining consistent lighting setups with subtle adjustments for each shot based on the scene's requirements.

  • Applying animation and lighting to spider scenes across approximately 10 shots, setting up varied lighting environments, tweaking textures, and creating special render layers and CG masks to ensure seamless integration of the CG spider with the practical actor.

  • Establishing a workflow for support artists to efficiently update the spider model after receiving new animation updates, ensuring integration into pre-textured and pre-lit scenes. This workflow allowed for quick adjustments, enabling texture updates and facilitating numerous changes by the director throughout production.

  • Animating the entity catching on fire, providing an animated alembic for the FX team to generate fire from.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving numerous UV and animation-to-alembic issues for the spider, ensuring updates were seamlessly integrated throughout the production.
