Responsible for:
Utilizing Houdini's RBD Material Fracture SOP and Substance Designer to create a broken wooden spear that matched the practical prop, ensuring a seamless transition when the main character breaks the spear in half on screen.
Receiving and aligning tracked geometry of the sticks in the actors' hands with the CG model for accurate positioning and interaction.
Created all lighting for the shots to realistically integrate the CG spear with the live-action footage.
Customized a blood material applied to the spear after it was "stabbed" into another actor.
Creating geometry and a shadow pass to cast realistic shadows from the spear onto the practical footage.
Setting up all texturing in Substance Designer to create both the clean and bloody versions of the spear.
